School Captains 2017

Captain – Dana Ross, Year 12
My Passion: netball
My Vision as a captain at Wirreanda Secondary School is: to clean up the school, rid it of rubbish!
I hope to support greater student involvement in: all year levels and students taking pride in their school.

Captain – Rhys Bremner, Year 12
My Passion: history, military, sports
My Vision as a captain at Wirreanda Secondary School is: to build a culture where students feel relaxed and comfortable, in all year levels.
I hope to support greater student involvement in: Indigenous cultural awareness, knowledge, appreciation and celebration.

Captain – Zac Adams, Year 12
My Passion: science, technology and design
My Vision as a captain at Wirreanda Secondary School is: to create and expand platforms for student voice, as well as creating more vibrant, informative classrooms and learning environments. Throughout this mission, I also hope to streamline processes to make high school as frictionless and seamless as possible for both teachers and students.
I hope to support greater student involvement in: school houses, events and clubs, as well as student leadership.

Vice Captain – Casie Coombe, Year 11
My Passion: soccer
My Vision as a captain at Wirreanda Secondary School is: to make as many students in the school as possible feel more comfortable to participate in school events and activities.
I hope to help students concentrate and be able to focus in lessons by introducing “Brain Breaks” into our 110 minute learning blocks.
I hope to support greater student involvement in: all school events and activities – not just sports.

Vice Captain – Zoe Moulder, Year 11
My Passion: Art, writing, netball
My Vision as a captain at Wirreanda Secondary School is: to create a better classroom environment for students, making them feel more comfortable in class.
I hope to support greater student involvement in: cleaning up the school, student confidence and student leadership.

Vice Captain – Cheyenne Stocker, Year 11
My Passion: sport (contact sports!)
My Vision as a captain at Wirreanda Secondary School is: to make sure the school is a healthy environment for students, no one is left out. I believe everyone deserves a friend and to feel a part of something.
I hope to support greater student involvement in: more students to be involved in more leadership opportunities.

This leadership group will be involved in a range of responsibilities over the year, none more important than the connection and voice they provide to our school community and their student body.
