The Defence of our Homeland Project held its major presentation at the Torrens Parade Grounds on Thursday 30 April. The evening involved speeches, a dance performance by our senior Dance Group, presentation of the Posters representing the students’ research and several iMovies showing the process the group had followed during the Project. The presentation was attended by parents and caregivers, the Education Minister Susan Close and the Exhibition was officially opened by Frank Lampard OAM. Students from our Hospitality Group catered for the event. The Project will continue with preparations continuing for the group to visit the National War Memorial in Canberra, where they will lobby for the creation of a National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Memorial.
