Technology
Wirreanda Secondary School will transition to a 1 to 1 Device Program over the next 3 years to ensure all young people at Wirreanda Secondary School have access to high quality devices to support learning. In 2024, we will commence rollout of this program for students in year 7, 10 and Disability Unit/Special Class with the intent to continue to roll out to year 7 and 10 cohorts over the next 3 years.
This is a significant step forward for us as a school and I am really excited about what it means for our young people in a rapidly changing world. The program will have an annual fee of $350 with the device becoming the property of the student at the conclusion of the 3-year cycle. There is no annual fee for families eligible for school card. Students who enrolled prior to 2026 can continue with and obtain support with their current laptop arrangement or access to short and long-term school loan devices.
Please find below the 1 to 1 Device Program summary, Handbook and Policy.
Stationery
Please note that we do not provide a stationery list, as the majority of schoolwork is available through electronic platforms. If you wish to purchase a notepad and pen to take notes by hand, that will be sufficient. If a teacher requires specific stationery, they will request it.
